15th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot - Sunday, April 27th, 2025
It’s time to register for the 15th Annual Barton Community College Foundation Sporting Clay Shoot! We are excited to welcome you back for another fantastic day of shooting, camaraderie, and competition on Sunday, April 27th, at Camp Aldrich.

WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR?
- Four-Person Teams: All registered teams must have four shooters. Individual entrants are still welcome and will be placed into an open time slot with other individual shooters but will not be added to a team for scoring.
- Preferred Flight Times: Rank your top three choices from 9am, 12pm, or 3pm when registering. Time slots are first-come, first-served. Team captains and individual entrants will receive email confirmations with their assigned flight times before the event.
- Faster & Smoother Course Flow: With 13 stations and two teams per station, each flight will accommodate 26 teams. Shooters must move through the course after each station; don’t wait on a station to watch other teams shoot after you have completed the station.
- Event Day Schedule: On event day, shooters must be at their designated starting station 10 minutes before their flight time. Lunch will be served 11am – 1pm, and we recommend the shooters flighted at 12pm and 3pm come early to eat lunch.
- Course Games: The Flurry Competition returns to two-person teams, and we’re adding a Long-Bird Competition. Game tickets are $10 and can be used at either station.
- More Parking: Barton has expanded the Camp Aldrich parking lot! Trucks with trailers should park farther out and ride in to the Event Hall.

2021 Sporting Clay Shoot Information
2021 Sporting Clay Shoot Information
On Sunday, April 18 the Barton Foundation hosted their 11th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot. The weather was beautiful and the course, set up by Linden Target Sports of McPherson, was once again laid out for optimum precision with the enjoyment of the shooters in mind. The day was filled with fun, fellowship and a delicious lunch prepared by Great Western Dining.
This year 34 sponsors, comprising of both cash and gift-in-kind donations made this event possible. 172 participants competed for top score prizes (man, woman, youth, and team) as well as cash prizes in 10 Lewis classes. Cash prizes were also available for those participating in the team competition flurry event that ran throughout the day.
This year’s event raised over $10,000 to fund faculty grants. The funds are awarded from proposals submitted by Barton faculty with the requirement that all funds shall be used to assist with classroom enhancements which directly benefit the learning experience of Barton students.
We want to thank every sponsor, donor, shooter, and volunteer that made this event possible – it absolutely would not have been possible without each and every one of them.
